Head Teacher

Hello! I’m Cynthia Rivas, the Head Teacher of the Snowy Egret classroom. My journey in early childhood education spans six rewarding years, beginning with an Early Childhood Education program and initial experience as an assistant in a Montessori school. It was there that I discovered the profound impact Montessori Education can have on young lives, which inspired me to pursue further training.

In the fall of 2023, I was thrilled to join the Keystone family while completing my final semester of Montessori training in the spring of 2024. Teaching brings me immense joy because it allows me to guide young children through their critical developmental years, helping them navigate the world with confidence and curiosity. I firmly believe that the values and skills learned in a Montessori classroom leave a lasting impression and contribute to a lifetime of growth.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy visiting scenic places with beautiful bay views and savoring my favorite foods, sushi and pasta. I cherish sunny afternoon walks with my dog but am equally content to relax at home with a cozy blanket and a good show. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons, adding to the comfort and joy I find in the simple pleasures of life.
